A good location, fantastic views, plenty to do. Very relaxing. Miss K, Beaminster, Dorset 18 August 2010
Cottage was in a great location with easy access to the main points of interest in the Peak District. View from the cottage terrace was amazing on a clear day. Miss C, Surbiton, Surrey 27 July 2010
Lovely location with beautiful views of the countryside and the town of Matlock in the valley below. Small but clean and functional cottage in a rural setting that makes an ideal base for walking or exploring the south Peaks. Be warned the area is extremely hilly - a walk back from the town requires a decent effort! Mrs C, Wadhurst, East Sussex 23 June 2010
A lovely cottage set in a wondeful location with fantastic views and excellent hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxed holiday visiting all the local sites and attractions, then retreating in the evenings to the peace and quiet of the hillside to watch the sun setting across the valley. Mr W, Woodbridge, Suffolk 28 September 2009
An absolutely brilliant holiday. The accommodation was brilliant and really well situated for all the things we wanted to see and do. The owner was really friendly and helpful and the information provided within the cottage (maps, leaflets for days out, menus for local takeaways, helpful local telephone numbers) was excellent. We really couldn't fault anything about the accommodation (or holiday on the whole), and we would definitely stay here again if visiting this part of the country. Mr B, Norwich, Norfolk 22 June 2009
An excellent location with beautiful views and walks on the doorstep! The accommodation was good and the owners very helpful. A great holiday to relax, unwind and do lots of walking! Mr C, Newcastle 21 February 2009
We had a great time. The weather was good which helped . Mr and Mrs Briggs were excellent hosts. The location was superb. Lots to see and do. We wore out our National Trust Card! Mr T, Ferndown 04 October 2008
If you want total peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Jane & Michael made us very welcome, couldn't have wished for two nicer people to be our hosts. The cottage was well equipped, very comfortable and spacious. The view across the valley to Matlock was wonderful and all we could hear were songbirds, owls and a few cows occasionally. So blissfully quiet. Mrs M, Livingston, West Lothian 13 September 2008
A truly relaxing holiday with stunning views and excellent accommodation. Mrs O, Nuneaton, Warwickshire 30 June 2007
The cottage was to a very high standard, and made our holiday complete. This was our second visit to this cottage, so I would highly recommend it! Mr C, Halesworth, Suffolk 09 September 2006
